Absan Polymers

Precision moulding since 1996

Moulded to your drawing.Held to your tolerance.

Absan Polymers manufactures precision injection-moulded engineering-polymer components for automotive and industrial OEMs — tooled, trialled and validated in Wagholi, Pune.

Metal-to-polymer conversion

Take the metal out.Keep the performance.

We re-engineer machined brass and fabricated steel components in engineering polymer — cutting cost, weight and corrosion without giving up fit or function.

High wear & high load

Built to keep runningunder load.

Suspension bushes, wear pads, spherical bearings and anti-vibration mounts, engineered for heavy friction, impact and cyclic stress in the field.

from first drawing to series supply.

All capabilities
01 / Moulding

Precision polymer parts

Bushes, bearings, wear pads and fully custom moulded components, made to your drawing.

02 / Machining

In-house CNC & lathe

Secondary operations under the same roof, so close tolerances hold from mould to finished part.

03 / Quality

Quality & delivery

ISO 9001:2015 certified, with customer awards for quality, cost management and delivery.

04 / Supply

Trusted across India

A dependable partner to industrial and automotive customers, dispatching pan-India.

Added advantage

High wear-and-tear specialists

Parts engineered to keep running under heavy friction, load and cyclic stress — the applications most moulders turn down.

Added advantage

Metal-to-polymer conversion

Re-engineering metal parts in polymer to cut cost, weight and corrosion, while holding the original fit and function.

What we do for our customers

A track record with industrial and
automotive customers across India.

01 / Automotive

Suspension & chassis wear parts

Bushes, spherical bearings, wear pads, anti-vibration mounts and air-suspension pistons, moulded to drawing for trailer, truck, bus and axle-system manufacturers.

02 / Consumer

Finished products, end to end

Thermally insulated vacuum glass flasks taken from raw material through moulding, laser branding and packing, then dispatched direct to the dealer network.

03 / Pharma

Moisture-protection packaging

Precision closures and desiccant canister components moulded to controlled standards, with batch traceability back to the raw material.

04 / Industrial

Housings, meters & fittings

Enclosures, RFID card holders and cable-management parts for IT hardware, plus borewell water-meter and irrigation components built for outdoor service.

Materials

Every part starts with
the right material.

We mould 18 polymer grades in total, each selected and validated against wear, load, thermal and dimensional requirements. These are the families we work with most.

Full material list
PA6 / PA66

Nylon

High strength, excellent wear resistance and thermal stability. Holds dimensional accuracy under continuous mechanical stress.

POM

Acetal / Delrin

Low friction, high dimensional stability and excellent fatigue resistance. Keeps precision in moving assemblies.

PU

Polyurethane

Outstanding abrasion resistance, impact absorption and resilience under repeated loading in harsh conditions.

TPC-ET

Hytrel

Flexible thermoplastic elastomer combining rubber-like flexibility with the strength of engineering plastics.

UHMW-PE

UHMW Polyethylene

Extremely low friction with exceptional wear and chemical resistance. Long service life without lubrication.

PP · HDPE · LLDPE · ABS · SAN

PC · PS · PBT · PTFE · PVC

Ten further commodity and specialty grades, plus a few others and customised filled compounds, selected for specific strength, thermal, chemical, electrical and wear requirements.

Case study 01 — Automotive

A machined brass component, re-engineered in polymer

Leveraging our expertise in engineering polymers, tooling and precision injection moulding, we transformed a traditionally machined brass component into a high-strength polymer equivalent. The redesign preserved critical running tolerances and mechanical performance, while eliminating corrosion and reducing manufacturing complexity.

A bronze wear pad, re-engineered in polymer

We replaced a bronze wear pad with a precision-moulded engineering polymer equivalent, selected for low friction and high abrasion resistance. The polymer pad runs without lubrication, will not corrode, and reduces noise and mating-surface wear while holding the original fit and load capacity.

Manufacturing capabilities

Moulding and machining
under one roof.

Keeping secondary operations in-house means fewer variables between the mould and the finished part — and fewer hands between a problem and the person who can fix it.

01 / Injection moulding

6 machines · 100–300 tons

Small precision to large structural parts

From small precision parts through to larger structural components.

02 / Machining

4 CNC · 3 lathes

Drilling · tapping · slotting

Tight-tolerance secondary operations completed in-house.

03 / SPM

Dedicated SPM lines

Specialised production

Designed and built in-house for the products they make. Vacuum glass flasks run end-to-end — raw material to laser printing, packing and dispatch.

Quality assurance

Quality engineered in,
not just inspected in.

An ISO 9001:2015 certified quality management system, backed by gauge-checked dimensions at defined checkpoints and a dedicated visual inspection team before packing.

Dimensional

Gauge-checked dimensions

Every product is checked against dedicated gauges at defined dimension-checking points.

Visual

Dedicated inspection team

A dedicated team carries out visual checking on parts before they are packed and dispatched.

In development

AI-enabled defect detection

Now exploring AI-assisted visual inspection to remove manual error and catch defects earlier.

In-house testing

Validated on our own rigs,
before a part ever ships.

In-house testing machines and a set of purpose-built mechanical gauges let us prove wear life, impact performance and dimensional conformance against the application — rather than relying on material data sheets alone.

In-house endurance and wear testing machine
01 / Endurance Endurance & wear testing

Runs components through continuous cyclic loading against a rotating counterface, so wear rate and service life are measured under conditions that mirror the application.

In-house impact testing machine
02 / Impact Impact testing

Drops a guided striker onto a clamped component to measure how it behaves under sudden shock loading, so impact performance is proven rather than assumed.

03 / Gauging Purpose-built mechanical gauges

For each component we build dedicated mechanical gauges, designed and validated together with the customer against their drawing. Every part is then checked against that gauge before it is packed, so both ends of the supply are measuring conformance the same way.

Location & logistics

Two decades of shipping
to every corner of India.

Supplying customers from Madurai in the south to Kolkata in the east teaches you things a delivery schedule never will. We have learned how monsoon closures move road transit times, which lanes are better served by rail, how packaging has to change for a three-day journey versus a three-week one, and how far ahead a dispatch has to leave Pune to land on a customer’s line on the right morning.

That experience is now built into how we plan. Delivery commitments are made against real transit history for the destination and the season — not an optimistic average.

Road

Our default for most of India. Full and part loads through carriers we have used for years, with direct routing to customer plants and dealer networks.

Rail

For heavier consignments and the long north–south and eastern corridors, where rail is both steadier on transit time and lower in cost per kilogram.

Air

Eight kilometres from Pune airport, so when a customer’s line is at risk we can put parts on a flight the same day rather than explain a delay.
